Happy Autumn!

Fall is here and it's time to think about cooking in the oven again. It's not quite cold enough to turn the heat on, but not quite warm enough to sit still.

I started my autumn with an apple pie! I was very excited to use my new cutting board and take some nice pictures of it. My cousin made it by hand as a gift for me. My friends Jen and Jon gave me nice new peeler that fits in my palm. I also got a brand new cookbook from my mother. PERFECT! I got a few nice photos before I assembled the sugar, flour, vanilla, and spices. By the time it came out of the oven it was too dark out to photograph the woven pie crust top that I made. Thats about the worst part of the seasons turning at this time of the year. Its so dark out!
So theres no pie to be seen, but trust me...it was delicious!

Making apple pie can be a long and tedious process, especially if you don't have a handy dandy apple corer/peeler. But it's soooo worth it. These pix make me want to start whipping up pies again! It's certainly that time of year again... :)
